Bringing high-quality theatre to the Fraser Valley

Built on 8 years of youth theatre tradition

Upstage Youth Theatre produces professional-quality musicals and plays where students run the show — on stage and behind the scenes.

Who We are

  • Upstage Youth Theatre Collective operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Colorado AeroLab, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Through this partnership, we are able to receive tax-deductible donations, benefit from nonprofit compliance, and operate with liability insurance that protects our programs, participants, and supporters.

  • Upstage Youth Theatre stages a fall musical, a winter play, and a spring musical, all produced with professional quality and powered by student talent. Past productions include Footloose, The Drowsy Chaperone, Mean Girls, Clue, and many more.

  • Upstage Youth Theatre is proud to be an official International Thespian Society troupe. Students can earn points toward induction into this national honors program by participating in our productions, building skills, and contributing to the theatre community.

  • Get ready — our students are headed to Colorado Thespian Conference (ThesCon) in Denver, December 11–13, 2025. This annual high school theatre event brings together thousands of students statewide for a weekend of workshops, performances, and networking. It’s one of the largest theatre conferences in the country and a highlight of our program calendar.

  • At Upstage Youth Theatre, the connections last long after the curtain closes — especially thanks to the leadership of our director, Christal. For over eight years, she’s built a space where students feel seen, supported, and inspired. Many alumni stay in touch, return to see shows, and continue to be part of the Upstage family for life.
